Thanks be to God for all these lovley lights,
oh how they glorify his majesty,
seen in it is his simplicity and might,
a reminder to trust in his mercy.
There’s something to all these beautiful lights
that set our day, our world, our life, aflame,
they paint the air with colors mute and bright,
crazy, unruly, barley able to tame.
These lights create the colors of my life:
resplendent red and jalapeño green
these cool colors that lead away from strife
are cast and set by the sunlight’s bright sheen.
We
live our days in God’s created light,
and
darkness has utterly failed in it’s fight.
