To the Dictionary

You are full of words and full of thoughts, like
‘Ampul’, a word I never use, which seems
a shame since as a word it’s pretty nice,
and glass orbs make great snow globe caught light beams
You stand by me while I read old fiction,
enlightening where time has disillusioned,
and justifying student teacher frictions,
“use proper words!,” “drop down your institution!
words I use live in your dictionary.
This is the talk I gab so stop dissing
My word choice. You, stop being so petty”
Ahh, English where we mess up the spelling
and play with the rules, but fortunately,
standing by is our faithful dictionary.
